2025: 18th annual South Texas Home and Garden Show
March 19, 2025 — Plants! Door prizes! Food trucks! Gardening classes and presentations! Performances! Food trucks! Free admission!
You’ll find it all this Saturday at the 2025 South Texas Home and Garden Show, presented by the Wilson County News!
The 18th annual show is set for Saturday, March 22, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Floresville Event Center. Admission to this family-friendly event is absolutely free, and so is parking!
The South Texas Home and Garden Show is sponsored by the Wilson County News, along with the Floresville Economic Development Corp., Texas Rhino Shield, Texas Homes, Atma Energy, Floresville Electric Light & Power System, Freedom Forever LLC, H&R Block in Floresville, Joseph Creek Homes, San Antonio River Authority, State Farm Insurance-David Del Bosque, and AirMedCare Network.
Sound at the show will be sponsored by Elysian Sound & Light. Elysian Sound & Light provides state-of-the-art audio-visual solutions, delivering unforgettable experiences at events of all kinds. From corporate events to concerts, they provide crystal-clear sound, stunning lighting, and video rentals.
Inside and outside the Floresville Event Center, you’ll find more than 100 booths representing a host of vendors with everything from plants and garden items to home décor and crafts, baked and home-canned foods, locally grown produce, building and landscape design and contracting services, insurance and mortgage providers, and much more. And there’s something for all ages, including kids’ crafts and activities, and presentations and classes.
Door prizes!
When you visit the vendors, be sure to register for your chance to win one of seven stupendous door prizes! Each hour throughout the day, a door prize — featuring items contributed by vendors — will be awarded. Must be present to win.
Enjoy performances by students of Duncan’s Martial Arts & Fire Dragon Tumbling at 11:10 a.m. and 3:10 p.m.
Find plants for indoors and outdoors from the Wilson County Extension Master Gardeners, Color Me Green nursery, H-E-B, Front Porch Garden Center, Sweet Mesquite Farm and Nursery, Happy Garden, Raging Roots, Texas Home Grown, and The Flour Shop.
Participate in one of the presentations and classes:
•Raised bed gardens, 10:10 a.m. — by the Wilson Çounty Extension Master Gardeners, Robert Creech
•Starting succulents, 1:10 p.m. — by the Wilson County Extension Master Gardeners, Steffinie Mannifield
•Solar battery power systems, 2:10 p.m. — by Atma Energy.
The Home Depot will offer young show attendees the opportunity to make their own crafts, too!
Participants also can get a free vision screening by the Floresville Lions Club.
Donate
The South Texas Blood & Tissue Center bloodmobile will be on site from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sign up to give the gift of life by donating blood.
All blood donors will receive their choice of an e-Gift card.

You can learn about community groups and animal rescue organizations at the show, too! Greet members of the Floresville Peanut Festival Court, visiting the show at 12:15 p.m.
And meet adoptable pets with the Wilson County No Kill Animal Shelter and the Wilson County Low-Cost Spay Neuter Clinic and learn about the work of Osborne Stables Equine Rescue. Meet members of the Wilson County Sassy Southern Quilters, Floresville Lions Club, and Wilson County Beautification Association.

If all the shopping and learning and meeting and greeting makes you hungry, you can refuel at the food court on the patio, where you’ll find food trucks from:
